St. Lawrence County Price Chopper locations will hold a “Build-A-Bouquet” activity for kids Saturday, May 11 from noon to 4 p.m. and Sunday, May 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“We coordinate the ‘Build-A-Bouquet’ for Mother’s Day events expressly to give kids the opportunity to personalize a gift for Mom,” said Mona Golub, Price Chopper vice president of public relations.

“Kids take great care in selecting the flowers, choosing from the variety of colored tissue paper and ribbons and customizing the card,” she said.

Children 12 and younger can select three bunches of flowers for a custom bouquet. Flower choices will include alstromeria, poms, mini carnations, carnations, snapdragons, matsumoto, cremons, spiders, sunflowers, stock, baby’s breath, limonium, statice and asters.

Children will wrap the flowers in colorful tissue, tie it with ribbon and personalize it with a card for mom.

The bouquets will be $5 plus tax.

Price Chopper operates stores in Canton, Potsdam, Massena, Gouverneur and Ogdensburg in St. Lawrence County.
