CANTON -- The St. Lawrence County Historical Society, Silas Wright House, 3 E. Main St., will hold a brown bag lunch to discuss “Roosevelt’s Tree Army,” the Civilian Conservation Corps, Thursday, Nov. 15.
The Corps planted three billion trees as part of the New Deal program.
Canton Town Historian Linda Casserly and former corps member Frank White will speak about the Corps in St. Lawrence County.
Bring your own lunch, with a beverage and dessert provided by SLCHA.
