POTSDAM -- The 8th Brian Leonard Youth Football Camp will be held beginning Tuesday, June 30 and continuing daily through Friday, July 3.

Leonard played in the National Football League (NFL) for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Cincinnati Bengals and the St. Louis Rams.

The camp is for beginning and experienced players in grades 1 through 12. Sessions will take place at Sandstoner Park, 43 Pine St. The newest coach is Chris Demarest, who coached at Rutgers from 2004-2008.

Leonard, a graduate of Gouvernor High School, takes an active role in the daily teaching and coaching sessions. The curriculum focuses on key playing elements, instructing campers in a safe environment with non-contact play, and promotes good sportsmanship.

The camp will offer a day-option only, with sessions beginning at 8:30 a.m. and ending at 3 p.m. Each camper is required to bring a non-perishable lunch and a water bottle. Due to the heat, participants are asked to bring a cooler with an ice pack inside. All belongings should be labeled with a first and last name. The cost of the camp is $260. Information and registration forms can be found at www.leonardcamps.com or by calling (732) 597-3126. Email inquiries should be sent to info@leonardcamps.com.
