The play is a musical comedy retelling of the Charles Dickens’ holiday classic “A Christmas Carol.” The book, music, and lyrics are by award-winning writer/composer Brazillia R. Kreep, who’s real name is Richard O’Donnell.
Ogdensburg Free Academy student Hailey Weber, who portrays Ebenezer Scrooges’ past fiancé Elvira Fripple said “The musical is set on the St. Lawrence River and there are a lot of local references and jokes, but this is still the classic Dickens’ Christmas story.” Weber, having performed in all six original JCT musicals, was last seen onstage as Parthenia Goste in “Kreepy Hallow” and has played everything from Alice in “Alice In Wonderland” to a princess fairy in their summer offering “Orchard Of Hide & Seek.”
The show also stars Stephen Chambers as Jacob Marley, Eric Key as Thaddeus Plum (Ghost of Been There Done That), Angela Dwyer as Matilda Pift (Ghost of Christmas Presents), Hailey Weber as Elvira Fripple (Scrooge's old love interest) and Ryan Woodard as Fezziwig. The Cratchit Family stars Christopher Dwyer as Bob, Shelly Murdock as Emily, Macy Murdock as Martha, Myah Myers as Bell, and Dee Bellinger as Tiny Tina. The Street Urchins are portrayed by Sloane Ryan as Nipper, Jillian LeBel as Cager, Grace Brunet as Dolly, Grace Wills as Scrubs, Grant Brunet as Rusty, and Chris Rodriguez as Spider. Carolers star Katrina Putman as Mrs. Sparkles, Mike Wills as Mr. Sparkles, Maeve Putman as Angie Sparkles, Grant Putman as Joey Sparkles, Kenzie Bucher as Kelly Sparkles, Myah Myers as Robin Sparkles, and Emma Murray as Tipsy Sparkles.
