Bravo Broadway!, a celebration to honor veterans slated for July 4 in Potsdam

POTSDAM -- Bravo Broadway!, a July 4 celebration to honor our veterans, will be held July 3 at 7 p.m. in the Helen M. Hosmer Hall on SUNY Potsdam’s campus.

The performance will be by the Orchestra of Northern New York with Kenneth Andrews as conductor. The event will salute the 70th anniversary of D-Day. The orchestra will present many traditional Independence Day favorites such as America the Beautiful, The American Frontier and the 1812 Overture. There will also be several Broadway musicals tunes including Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, Camelot, Cats, The Sound of Music and more.

The winner of raffle for “Maestro for a Night” will lead a special number during the concert.

Tickets are $22 for adults, $20 for senior citizens 62 years and older, $10 for students and free for children 12 years and under.

Tickets are available through the Community Performance Series Box Office at 267-2277 or www.onny.org, and can also be purchased at Northern Music & Video in downtown Potsdam.

. A $25 discount is available when registering in groups of five or more. Each camper will receive an informational packet in the mail, which also contains required health history forms.
