BRASHER FALLS – The Brasher Falls United Methodist Church will sponsor a CROP Hunger Walk, Sunday, Oct. 16.
Registration begins at the town offices at 1:30 p.m.
CROP hunger walks are held by Church World Service every year throughout the U.S. to raise money for the fight against world hunger. CROP stands for Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty.
CWS uses the funds to support many projects that bring fresh water and teach sustainable agriculture to deprived areas of the world. However, as walkers help others, they help their local community. Twenty-five percent of money raised will assist the local food bank.

All checks should be payable to CWS/CROP and donations are welcome.
