Three acts have been added to the Ogdensburg Parks and Recreation Department's free concert series at Library Park.
Los Angeles based singer/songwriter Brad Byrd will perform Aug. 13 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Byrd has released two LPs, 2005's "The Ever Changing Picture", and 2011's "Mental Photograph". Various cuts off both releases have been featured on television shows such as ABC's "Happy Endings" and Fox's "Ben & Kate." He has opened for acts such as Family of the Year, Mike Doughty, Gold Motel, Jurassic 5, Wakey Wakey, Barnaby Bright, JBM, Willy Mason, Reel Big Fish and others. His style is similar to Pete Yorn, Ryan Adams, Beck, Joseph Arthur and Kurt Vile.
Also joining the series is Allexa Hooper, a singer and songwriter from Ogdensburg, who will be taking the stage Aug. 24 from 6 to 7 p.m. She has performed at numerous talent shows and festivals throughout New York state.
She sang the American and Canadian national anthems at the 2013 Bassmasters Tournament. She also performed at the New York State fair in Syracuse. She recently sang at the Oswegatchie Delta Music Festival.
On Aug. 27 from 6 to 8 p.m., Jack Kelley Band will take the stage.
Spectators should bring their own chairs.
The bands and performers will perform at the Library Park gazebo. No dogs or alcohol are allowed.
The entire concert series is as follows:
Aug. 13 - Brad Byrd from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Aug. 15 - DRAGNFLY, a rock band from Upstate New York, which includes Abigail Powers on lead vocals, Tim Logan on guitar/backing vocals, John Walker on drums/backing vocals and Micah McDonald on bass/backing vocals will be taking the stage from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Aug. 22 - Lisbon native Jaynie Trudell will perform from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Aug. 24 - Allexa Hooper from 6 to 7 p.m.
Aug. 27 - Jack Kelley Band from 6 to 8 p.m.
Aug. 29 - The Juggernaut Agenda will hit the gazebo from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The
Juggernaut Agenda is a rock band whose members are T. Mourick, Greg Currier, Matt Wargo and Kevin O'Brien.
