NORWOOD -- St. Lawrence-Lewis BOCES, 7227 State Highway 56, will offer a teaching assistant six-hour preparation class to ready for the NYS Assessment of Teaching Assistant Skills (ATAS).
Anyone seeking certification as a teaching assistant is required to achieve a qualifying score on this exam.
The class will focus on test content and format in the following areas: Reading, writing, mathematics, and instructional support.
Information will also be provided about test dates and registration procedures. To enroll in the class attendees must have a high school diploma or equivalency diploma.
