OGDENSBURG — A boater safety course will be held March 28 and 29 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the United Helpers Mosaic Center, 100 Ford St.
Attendees must be present both nights.
This course is required in New York State for anyone 14 years old and older who operates a personal watercraft (i.e. jet ski).
The course is also required for ages 10-18 to operate a boat alone, and anyone, born on or after May 1, 1996, to operate a motorized boat unsupervised.
Students will be able to see and check out various safety equipment items and receive the course textbook and federal and state rulebooks to keep as references.
A certificate will be issued.
The cost is $35 per person with a family plan available.
