POTSDAM -- The St. Lawrence County Arts Council is hosting a blues ukulele class March 18, from 1-3 p.m.
This workshop will cover all of the basic skills necessary to playing the blues on the ukulele.
Participants will learn to strum the 12-bar Blues progression, how to play a blues scale, and how to improvise a solo.
Participants should be comfortable reading a chord diagram and strumming the ukulele.
If you attended “Ukulele: Take it from the Top!” and practiced for a week or two, you should be ready for the blues. Please bring a ukulele and pencil.
Children ages10 and older are welcome, if there’s a parent with them.
The class will cost SLC Arts members $19 and non-members $24.
