Birdsfoot Farm community supported agriculture meetings will be held Saturday, June 15 at 3 p.m. at the Massena Library, room B, and Sunday, June 16 at 2 p.m. at Birdsfoot Farm, 1263 County Route 25, Canton.
Farmer Dulli Tengeler will explain how to sign up for a weekly box of fresh, local, organic vegetables and herbs and give a tour of the gardens and answer questions.
Birdsfoot Farm will offer drop offs in Canton and Potsdam and is planning to add one in Massena.
The community supported agriculture program will begin June 17 and go through October 15.
“The CSA is a great option to support your local farmer when you can’t make it to the farmers market. It is an opportunity for people who love good food to commit to weekly fresh produce, to learn about new crops, to get recipes and enjoy the farm’s newsletters,” says Tengeler.
