MASSENA -- American Legion Post 79, 40 E. Orvis St. is hosting a benefit for Brett Bouchard and family on May 30. All proceeds will help the family with medical and travel expenses related to their son's recovery.

Bouchard, 17, had his right arm severed at the elbow last month while cleaning a pasta machine at Violi's Restaurant, where he works. He is hospitalized at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, where the arm was reattached and he continues to recover.

There will be a trivia contest hosted by Mike Viskovich, registration starts at 7:30 p.m. The night will also include a Chinese auction and 50/50 drawing with three prizes totaling up to $5,000.
