CANTON -- The Local Living Venture will host a beginner beekeeper workshop Oct. 16 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 3 ½ Main St.
“Tricks of the trade” will be shared and discussion group members will answer questions.
The workshop will also include brief presentations by different local beekeepers, who meet regularly to share resources.
The presentations include “Bees & Beekeeping Resources,” “Equipment and Gear, a Timeline of a year in a North Country Bee Yard,” and “The Bare Bones Essentials of Keeping Bees, Biology, Pests, Diseases, and Terminology for the Lay Person.”
The suggested donation is $15 or $5 with student ID. Children will attend free.
