CANTON -- The monthly Bees and Beekeeping Discussion Group will meet at 7 p.m. March 26, at the Betty Evans Community Room in the new addition to the E.J. Noble Medical Bldg., 80 East Main St.
The group shares valuable information about local beekeeping with each other. All levels of beekeeper are welcome.
The group is planning a workshop for beginners, tentatively scheduled for April 19 in the Canton area.
Those who sign up will learn about starting a new hive and how to follow through in caring for the bees through the summer months.
There will be informal mentoring sessions for attendees, who will get to assist or observe the transfer of the "package bees" into their new homes.
A pass-the-hat small donation is requested of participants who are able to contribute to the monthly sessions.
