MASSENA -- The next performance of the Concerts in the Park Music Series at the Springs Park Band Shell will be the Bee Children Thursday, July 6, from 6-8 p.m.

Based in northern New York State, the band plays a diverse range of original pop, indie rock, folk-rock and agit-folk songs. With a strong emphasis on songcraft, melody, and vocal harmonies, they bring the do-it-yourself attitude of the 1960s and the indie spirit of the 1980s to the 21st century.

The group released its debut album, Veranophonic, in 2015 and are currently finishing work on a follow-up album, due out in 2017.

Members of the group include John Collins on vocals, guitar and keyboards; Shane Rogers on keyboards, vocals and percussion; Terry DuBray on bass, guitar, vocals and percussion; Sarah Gates on vocals and guitar; and Don Burlingame on drums.
