MASSENA—The New York Power Authority’s (NYPA) “Beat the Heat Summer Movie Days” will continue every Tuesday in August at the admission-free Hawkins Point Visitors Center. The series features a full day of free movies and popcorn.
Each week three family-friendly films are shown at 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. in the visitors center’s air-conditioned auditorium.
The schedule is: Aug. 6, 10 a.m., Rise of the Guardians, 1 p.m., Oz the Great and Powerful, 3 p.m., A Monster in Paris; Aug. 13, 10 a.m., Dr. Seuss’ the Lorax, 1 p.m., Life of Pi, 3 p.m., Hotel Transylvania; Aug. 20, 10 a.m., The Smurfs, 1 p.m., Marvel's The Avengers, 3 p.m., Teen Beach Movie; Aug. 27, 10 a.m., Puss in Boots, 1 p.m., and 3 p.m., Sticks and Stones.
