WANAKENA -- A German forester will speak at the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry and the school will also hold an open house in the coming weeks.
On Sept. 27, Arthur Reinelt, a visiting forester from Bavaria, Germany will host a lecture about Bavarian national parks.
The lecture will go from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the school's room 261.
On Oct. 11, SUNY ESF will host an open house from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Visitors will be able to meet students and learn about the school's associate degree programs in forest technology, land surveying technology and environmental and natural resources conservation.
It starts at 10 a.m. with seminars about academics and student life. That is to be followed by a campus tour and complimentary lunch. Afterward is an optional forest property tour.
