MASSENA -- The Robert Moses State Park Nature Center will host several upcoming events. They will include:

• Trail Walking Club Aug. 3 at 9 a.m. at the Nature Center trailhead. The walk will last about an hour and pedometers will be available for use. Comfortable hiking shoes, water, and bug spray are recommended.

• Watercolor painting workshop Aug. 3 from 1 to 3 p.m. by local watercolor artist, Judith Utter at the Nature Center. Must pre-register to attend.

• Outdoor yoga for kids Aug. 10 from 10 to 11 a.m. Play red light, green light and freeze tag. Yoga mats are provided. ‘

• Outdoor walking meditation Aug. 10 for a Walking Meditation. Pre-registration is required

• Join North Country artisit Sandra Taylor-Hedges Aug. 10 - 11 from 2 to 4 p.m. for a mixed media workshop using acrylic paints and other media to create works of art. Pre-registration is required. All materials provided.

• Join Donna Jadlos for a basket weaving workshop Aug. 17 and Aug. 24 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Nature Center. Participants will make their own colorful baskets and get to take them home. All materials are provided.

• Join Reiki Master, Suzan McDermott, from noon to 2 p.m. as she leads intro to reiki at the Nature Center. Yoga mats or chairs are provided. Meet by the Nature Center trailhead.

• Local yoga instructor, Marie (Dolly) Kirwan, of Yoga by the River leads outdoor yoga at the Nature Center Aug. 31 from 10 to 11a.m. This beginner yoga class. Yoga mats are provided.

• Star walk campfire cooking will be Aug 31 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Nature Center. Create a delicious dessert over an outdoor fire pit for a $1 donation At 7:30 p.m. take a guided walk under sky and join local star gazer, Bruce McClure as he leads this star walk.
