POTSDAM -- Potsdam Library’s Computer Center has set classes on backing up computer for Jan. 5 and an introduction to computers Jan. 10.
In the backup class, which runs from 10 to 11:30 a.m., learn how to use a flash drive, an external hard drive attached to one’s computer, or a cloud (online) site such as Carbonite.
If possible, bring a flash drive to the class.
The intro class, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., covers creation of files and folders, how and where to save them, how to copy from one document to another.
Class will be taught using Windows 7/office suite 2010.
Participants should be comfortable with handling a mouse and keyboard.
