CANTON - The Third Johann Sebastian Bach Marathon at St. Lawrence University will be held Saturday, March 24, from 2 to 7 p.m. in Gunnison Memorial Chapel.
Organists, university presidents, a pianist and chamber musicians will present some of the most outstanding compositions by Bach.
The audience is encouraged to come whenever they wish, for as long as they like.
Organist Donald S. Sutherland will be in residence at the university from March 22 through March 24. His residency will culminate with a performance at the marathon. He will present an open lecture/recital on Friday, March 23, at 6 p.m. in the chapel.
