Authors of 'Swimming Through the Flotsam' and SLU hockey history to appear in Canton

CANTON -- Two St. Lawrence University alums who have written recent books will appear at the SLU Brewer Bookstore Saturday, June 5, as part of reunion weekend activities.

George Stade will sign copies of his latest novel, “Swimming Through the Flotsam in which We Live and Move and Have Our Being,” from 2 – 3 p.m. Stade has been a Columbia University professor for over 40 years.

Robert Graham will lead a discussion of the long ice hockey tradition at SLU and sign copies of his SLU ice hockey history, “Go Saints!” from 3:30 to 4:45 p.m. Graham researched almost 100 years of SLU hockey lore, especially since retiring as a Norwood-Norfolk Central School teacher.

Both appearances are open to the public.
