CANTON -- The Grasse River Players will be holding auditions for the 2015 Winterfest Production of "Spoon River Anthology" by Edgar Lee Masters.
In this play, Masters, an American poet (1869-1950), created a series of free-verse monologues in which former citizens of a fictional Midwestern town speak from the grave of love and hope, disappointment and despair.
There are parts for six men and six women, ages 20 through 70. A choir is also needed. If interested, bring a song to sing a capella.
Audition dates are Saturday, Nov. 8 from 2 to 4 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 9 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church on Main St. in Canton.
Production dates are Feb. 13 and 14.
