POTSDAM – North Country Matters will discuss family and child care issues with Assemblywoman Addie Russell and provide a Village of Potsdam and a Potsdam Central School check up.
North Country Matters presents Russell’s interview with AAUW-NYS Public Policy VP Donna Seymour to talk about four issues of central importance to NYS families and the state’s economy: Paid Family Leave Insurance, child care, pre-k and after school programs.

The second show airs at 8 p.m. both nights and is a conversation with Potsdam Central School Superintendent Pat Brady about district issues. Education blogger Ann Carvill and Seymour discuss school renovations, the Canton-Potsdam School merger talks, and Common Core and with Brady. The third show will air at 8:30 p.m. both nights and is a conversation between Seymour and Potsdam Village Administrator David Fenton about the Village of Potsdam. They discuss the village budget process, the hydro plant, village water, sewer and road repairs, as well as the village building inspection process and plans to combine the town and village courts.
