POTSDAM -- The St. Lawrence County Arts Council, 51 Market St., will open a new exhibit of watercolor paintings, pottery and sculpture by artist Leon LeBeau Friday July 13 with an opening reception from 4 to 6 p.m.

LeBeau’s paintings capture peaceful North Country scenes and floral portraits with soft colors and simple strokes that seem to effortlessly evoke birds and trees.

The show will be on display through Aug. 25.

The arts council gift shop and gallery is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
