CANTON -- St. Lawrence County Arts Council members and area residents can partake in a March 7 event celebrating local artists and the arts in the North Country. This year’s “Art Jam” is on from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Best Western University Inn, 90 East Main St.
There will be appetizers and a cash bar catered by Best Western. Live music will be provided by local musicians including Crescent Street Jam, Michael Magilligan and friends, Camilla Ammirati and Lenore VanderZee of Uprooted, and KTX. Throughout the evening, artwork and art classes donated by local artists will be auctioned to benefit SLC Arts.
SLC Arts will be celebrating its accomplishments over the past year, the service of Arts Recognition Award recipient Amy Flack of Community Performance Series, the contributions of SLC Arts board members, and the recipients of 2015 NYSCA re-grant funding, the group said in a news release.
