HEUVELTON -- An Artisan Showcase and Open House is planned for Monday, April 30, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Pickens Hall, 83 State Street. Admission is free and the event is open to the public.

There will also be a cheese tasting sponsored by the farm families who own McCadam and Cabot Creamery Cooperative.

The showcase is open to all local artists and crafts people who will feature a sampling of eight to 12 pieces of their work at Pickens Hall.

Set up time runs from 9 a.m. to noon, and a limited number of tables are available by request.

A brief artist statement is required and should accompany the artisan’s work. Space is limited, and a fee of $20 will be charged to vendors.

Artisans may make a reservation by April 23 by contacting Sally Hartman (Artists-Liaison) P.O. Box 4, Rensselaer Falls, NY 13680; 315-344-8882.
