POTSDAM -- The SLC Arts Council has announced upcoming arts and music classes to be held in the Downtown Snell Hall location at 41 Elm St.

Special Arts: Integrated Preschool Music will be held from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 4. This inclusive group for 2-5 year olds with disabilities as well as friends and family provides an opportunity for music and movement exploration in a supportive group environment. Cost of the class is $10.

Special Arts: Adults Music & Art will meet from 10:30 to noon on Tuesday, Oct. 4. This group provides an opportunity for adults with special needs to participate in a variety of activities including singing, movement, dancing, playing instruments and more. The class fee is $10.

Special Arts: Adult Art Group will meet from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 5. Therapist Tracy Wanamaker will lead the class for adults with special needs through singing, movement, dancing, instruments, painting and more. The class fee is $10.

Special Arts: Kids/Teens Music and Art will meet from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 5. Group members will participate in singing, dancing, playing instruments, painting, creating and more in a supportive and therapeutic group environment. The class fee is $10.

Suzan McDermott of Bravura Photography will lead a Digital Photography Field Trip & Basic Editing class from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 8. Participants will take photos around Potsdam to edit in the afternoon. In the event of poor weather, photos will be taken in and around Snell Hall. Students are encouraged to bring small or medium subjects to photograph. A digital camera is required and a laptop, jump drive, and snack or bag lunch are recommended. The class costs $38 for members and $48 for non-members.
