Arnold and Linda Sauther announced as judges to The Massena Artists Association 27th Annual Juried Art Exhibit Feb. 14

MASSENA – The Massena Artists Association has announced that Arnold and Linda Sauther have been selected to be the judges for MAA’s 27th Annual Juried Art Exhibit. Both are professional artists and educators who are well known throughout the North Country.

Arnold Sauther attended Buffalo State for his undergraduate degree and Ohio State for his MA in Art Education. He studied for a semester in Italy, and a summer in Mexico.

He taught as an exchange instructor in England for a year. He is now retired after many years of teaching secondary art at Salmon River Central Schools.

Linda Sauther graduated from SUNY at Oswego for her undergraduate degree, and earned her M.Ed. From SUNY Plattsburgh.

She is retired from Franklin Academy in Malone. Her teaching career also includes teaching in various secondary schools in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York, as well as teaching English as an adjunct instructor at North Country Community College and instructing students in pen and ink drawing and journal rendering for Foothills Art Society in Malone.

Since her retirement, she has acquired a Computer Art and Design Certificate from NCCC and continues to work in this field as well as in various art media.

The Massena Artists Association’s 27th Annual Juried Art Exhibit contains over 100 different works of art in many different styles and media, submitted by many different local and regional artists.

It will open with a reception at the Massena Public Library Tuesday, Feb. 14, starting at 6:30 p.m.

The awards ceremony begins at 7:15 p.m. The public is invited to attend. Refreshments will be served.
