CANTON -- Jan Wojcik presents Pivot Point at Appomattox at the next St. Lawrence County Historical Association Civil War Roundtable Sunday, April 12, at 2 p.m. at the Silas Wright House, 3 East Main St.
Wojcik’s presentation will explore events leading up to the surrender at Appomattox as well as what the surrender terms meant to the people involved.
The North Country Civil War Roundtable is part of the St. Lawrence County Historical Association’s Commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, which was fought from 1861-1865.
Wojcik is a member of the North Country Civil War Roundtable and has previously presented on the Battles of Spotsylvania Court House and Chaffin’s Farm. Wojcik is a retired professor of humanities at Clarkson University.
