OGDENSBURG -- The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary is offering America's Boating Course on June 11 and 12 at the Ogdensburg Mall in the United Helpers Mosaic Center.
Participants must attend both sessions to be certified, which each run from 5 to 9 p.m.
A new law that went into effect May 1 requires all those born after May 1, 1996 to obtain a boating safety certificate to operate a motorized watercraft. Anyone, regardless of age, must have a certificate to operate a personal watercraft, which includes jet skis.
