POTSDAM -- The American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) St. Lawrence Section is meeting at Clarkson University Friday and Saturday, March 23 and 24.
Timothy Sugrue, dean of the Clarkson School of Business, will deliver the keynote address, “Integration of Entrepreneurship and Engineering Education,” March 23, at 7:30 p.m. in the Student Center.
Other workshops, both at 9 a.m. Saturday in Bertrand H. Snell Hall, include “What Are You Saying? How to Inspire Girls to Pursue Engineering” by Marca Lam of RIT, and “What Works to Increase Recruitment and Retention of Underrepresented Students in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics“ by Clarkson Associate Vice President Jennifer DeCoste.
The ASEE St. Lawrence Section includes engineering and engineering technology schools throughout most of New York State and much of central and eastern Canada.
