American Red Cross blood drives planned across St. Lawrence County in November

American Red Cross will host blood drives throughout the area in November.

People can sign up or get more info by downloading the American Red Cross Blood Donor App, visiting redcrossblood.org or calling 1-800-733-2767.

A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in.

Those who are 17 years of age in most states (16 with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood.

High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.

Lisbon Nov. 16 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Lisbon Central School, 6866 County Route 10

Madrid Nov. 22 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Madrid Waddington High School, 2582 State Highway 345

Massena Nov. 16 from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m., St Lawrence Centre, 6100 State Route 37

Ogdensburg Nov. 22 from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Ogdensburg Elks Lodge, Caroline Street; Nov. 23 from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Claxton Hepburn Medical Center, 214 King Street

Potsdam Nov. 17 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Potsdam High School, 29 Leroy Street
