POTSDAM -- The Northern New York Chapter of the American Red Cross will host a babysitter’s training class for ages 11 to 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 26 at the Potsdam Civic Center, 2 Park St.
The training will teach teens how to hold, feed, diaper and care for infants and toddlers, work with children safely and deal with emergencies.
Other topics will include bedtime and disciplinary issues, safety hazards and common injuries.
It will also cover entrepreneurial and career development skills.
The class will be $85, including the training certificate, handbook and CD-ROM. Bring a bag lunch.
