OGDENSBURG -- American Kang Duk Won Karate presents Family Safety Night at St. John’s Parish Hall from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26. Use the Knox Street entrance. It is free.
Topics will focus on personal self-defense, street awareness, family communications and improved fitness through lessons. The presentation will be in the upstairs activity room and is open to all families of the community. Interested participants may also receive information for the new Ogdensburg youth program now being organized.
American Kang Duk Won Karate and safety programs for youth and adults are taught in school districts and college fitness facilities throughout the North Country. A new 12-week after school program will be offered this fall. The class is intended for youth in grades 2 -8. Exercises are taught in a non-contact, courteous manner and make for an enjoyable family activity.
Monday’s presentation will include additional handout materials addressing family safety and fitness routines available through the weekly lessons.
