OGDENSBURG -- Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center is encouraging members of our community to commit or recommit to healthy, tobacco-free lives by participating in the American Cancer Society’s Great American Smokeout on Nov. 16.
Shannon VanHouse, RN, certified tobacco cessation specialist at Claxton-Hepburn, will host a support group on the day of the Great American Smokeout, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Medical Center’s Hess Auditorium.
All who have quit tobacco and those trying to stop are encouraged to attend the group meeting.
Additionally, Mrs. VanHouse provides free individual tobacco treatment counseling Monday through Friday by appointments.
