Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Resort to host wine tasting March 14

AKWESASNE -- The Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Resort will partner with “Taste NY” to host a wine tasting tour on Saturday, March 14 from 1 to 5 p.m. in the casino’s Winter Ballroom.

The event features 18 wineries from all over New York State including the Finger Lakes, Thousand Islands, and Northern regions.

Tickets are $25 and are available for purchase online.

Each ticket purchase includes a commemorative wine tasting glass, wine carry bag, and wine sampling at 18 local wineries. The event will also have light hors d’oeuvres to complement the wine. They will draw $1,400 in door prizes from 2 to 5 p.m.

“The safety of our guests is always a priority, so we added a Safe Driving Program for the event which allows designated drivers free admission and complimentary non-alcoholic beverages,” add Patrick Bassney, AMCR general manager.

Participants must be at least 21 to attend the event.

Overnight hotel packages are also available.

Participating wineries include Glenora Wine Cellars of Dundee, Knapp Winery & Vineyards of Romulus, Swedish Hill Vineyards of Romulus, Goose Watch Winery of Romulus, Penguin Bay Winery of Hector, Montezuma Winery of Seneca Falls, Fox Run Vineyards of Penn Yan, Sheldrake Point Winery of Ovid, Inspire Moore Winery & Vineyard of Naples, Damiani Wine Cellars of Burdett, Adirondack Winery of Lake George, Coyote Moon Vineyards of Clayton, Bully Hill Vineyards of Hammondsport, Dr. Frank Wines of Hector, Hazlitt 1852 of Hector, Brotherhood: America’s Oldest Winery of Hudson, Thousand Islands Winery of Alexandria Bay and High Peaks Winery of Winthrop.
