Local Living Venture is offering a "Start Your Garden Seedlings Indoors" session on May 4 from 1 to 3:30 p.m., with an optional farm tour following.

The workshop will be led by Birdsfoot Organic Farm coordinator and market gardener Dulli Tengeler.

Attendees will learn what containers to use for what plants, how to make your own potting soil from compost, how to fill containers and seed different crops (including some flowers). They will also transplant some vegetables and herbs as well as learn about timing the seeding, planting seedlings out, and different varieties.

Participants will be able to take home several organic seedlings of their own from the workshop. An RSVP for the location is necessary due to limited space.

There is a suggested donation of $15, $5 for students. Scholarships are available when registering. Contact 347-4223 or LocalLivingVenture@gmail.com.
