Adult education, workforce development courses in Norwood throughout September

NORWOOD -- The St. Lawrence-Lewis BOCES adult education and workforce development division is offering a variety of courses to community members in the month of September.

These courses at the BOCES Seaway Area Tech Center, 7227 State Highway 56, are open to the public and are geared toward professionals interested in boosting their skillset, or jobseekers looking to enter a new field.

Below are the course names and start dates:

5-Hour Driving Course, Sept. 16; Foundations Of Basic Electricity, Sept. 18; HVAC II: Heating And Ventilation, Sept. 19; BLS Healthcare Provider CPR, Sept. 21; Healthcare Clerical Support, Sept. 25; Computer Skills For Careers, Sept. 26; and Introduction To Computers, Sept. 26.

The courses Phlebotomy, Essential Carpentry Skills, Intoductory Welding and Asbestos Awareness began earlier this week.
