Adirondack Singers and Players perform annual Christmas Cantata in Potsdam, Hogansburg, Brasher Falls this weekend

The Adirondack Singers and Players will perform the annual Christmas Cantata the weekend of Dec. 14.

The performance, titled “Hope of the Broken World,” will be shown in the United Methodist Churches of Potsdam, Hogansburg, and Brasher Falls.

“Hope of the Broken World” is a Christmas musical created by Dave Clark and David T. Clydesdale, which follows the story of Christmas.

Jeff Burghdurf will conduct. The choir will feature signers from all over the North Country, including Malone, St. Regis Falls, Brasher Falls and Potsdam. Solos will be performed by Marvin Baker, Brittany Milmore, Warren Potter, Hannah Jeror, Lynn Potter, Rev. Greg Stierheim and Marcia TenEyck. Faith Piester and Daniel Francis will sing a duet of “Strange Way to Save the World,” accompanied by five children.

Diane Burghdurf will accompany the singers on the piano.

The Potsdam performance is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 14 at 7 p.m. The Hogansburg performance will follow on Saturday, Dec. 15, also at 7 p.m. The tour will wrap up Sunday, Dec. 16 in Brasher Falls at 3 p.m.
