CANTON -- Adirondack singer and songwriter Dan Berggren will entertain at The TAUNY Center, 53 Main St., on Saturday, March 29, at 5 p.m. for folk music and fun.
Dan is a tradition-based songsmith who writes with honesty, humor, and a strong sense of place.
"Dan is a throwback to the old role of the folk singer . . . he's articulating things that need to be said right now," says environmentalist and author Bill McKibben.
Dan's songs explore the many dimensions of home, hard-working folks, taking care of our planet and each other.
His roots are firmly planted in the Adirondacks where he was raised, but his music has branched out across many borders.
An award-winning musician and educator, Dan has entertained audiences throughout New York State and around the world.
A good friend of TAUNY, Dan is offering the Saturday evening concert as a benefit/fundraiser for TAUNY. There is a suggested donations of $5 to $15 to support ongoing TAUNY programs and services.
