POTSDAM -- The North Country Children's Museum presents “Adirondack Science” Saturday, Nov. 19 from 12:30 until 2 p.m. at Clarkson University Bookstore, 39 Market St.
Kids will explore geology of the Adirondacks learning about common rocks, how they were formed, and how to identify them. Dr. Will Rivers will lead the exploration. Dr. Ron Tavernier will examine different ways that animals have evolved to survive Adirondack winters. Kids will explore hibernation, migration and adaptations that allow animals to thrive throughout the seasons. Geared toward children in grades K-5.
The cost is $10 per child. Register at clear@potsdam.edu or 267-2167. Walk-ins welcome if space is available. Need based discounts available.
