POTSDAM — The North Country Children's Museum presents “Adirondack Science” Saturday, Oct. 28 with Drs. Ron Tavernier, Will Rivers, and Dave Bradford of SUNY Canton from 12:30 until 2 p.m. at the University Bookstore, 39 Market St.
Kids will explore the geology of the Adirondacks learning about the common rocks, how they were formed, and how to identify them. Dr. Will Rivers will lead the exploration of the geology of the area.
Dr. Ron Tavernier will examine the different ways that animals have evolved to survive Adirondack winters. Kids will explore hibernation, migration and adaptations that allow animals to thrive during the winter.
The program is intended for children in grades K-5 and costs $10 per participant. Register online at clear@potsdam.edu or 315-267-2167. Need based discounts available.
Walk-ins welcome if space is available.
Caregivers are required to stay during the program.
