Adirondack Santa returns to Canton Saturday; kids can make pinecone birdfeeder, decorate cookie

CANTON – Adirondack Santa returns to the Silas Wright House, 3 ½ East Main St. on Saturday, Dec. 13 at 11 a.m. for the Second Saturday Children’s program.

Children age 4-10 can be photographed with the Adirondack Santa, make a pinecone birdfeeder and decorate a cookie treat.

Parents, grandparents and other caregivers are welcome to attend the free program. Parking is available in the back of the SLCHA, next to the museum’s main entrance.

A holiday sale will take place Friday, Dec. 12 from noon until 8 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 13 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Most items in the gift shop will be on sale at a 10 percent discount and SLCHA members will receive a 15% discount. The gift shop carries holiday fare that will make visions of sugar plums dance in your head, such as marbles, jacks, holiday notecards, and A Visual Dictionary of Christmas Long Ago.
