CANTON -- Adirondack Santa returns to the Silas Wright House, 3 ½ East Main St. on Saturday, Dec. 12 at 11 a.m. for the Second Saturday Children’s program.
Children age 4-10 can be photographed with Adirondack Santa, hear the classic story of the gingerbread man, and decorate a cookie treat.
Parents, grandparents and other caregivers are welcome to attend this free program. Parking is available in the back of the SLCHA, next to the museum’s main entrance.
Also, on Saturday from 2 until 3:30 p.m., local author Cassidy Percoco will sign copies of her newly published book “Regency Women’s Dress, 1800-1830.”
The museum’s gift shop will hold its annual holiday sale on Friday, Dec. 11, from noon to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 12, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Most items in the gift shop will be on sale at a 10 percent discount and SLCHA members will receive a 15 percent discount. The gift shop carries old-time toys like marbles, pickup sticks, spinning tops and yo-yos.
