POTSDAM -- The Adirondack Mountain Club Laurentian Chapter and Nature Up North will host a pirate-themed adventure on the Red Sandstone Trail on Sept. 20.
Participants will look for a legendary treasure left behind by pirates long ago.
They will also learn about frogs, beavers, hydropower, the history of the region and more.
Hotdogs and marshmallows will be provided at the midpoint of the 3-mile hike.
Participants should dress appropriately for the weather, wear good hiking shoes and bring water.
The event is limited to 24 participants.
