August 9 (Saturday) Potsdam-Canton bicycle loop. From Potsdam, via the southerly back roads to Canton. Lunch at Coakley Park, and will later hit the Grasse River Heritage trail. Return on roads north of Rte 11. Moderate. Contact Tom Ortmeyer at 265-8219 or tortmeye@gmail.com.
August 30 (Saturday) Cycling the Long Sault Parkway. From Cornwall, Ont. Highlights include a new power generation visitor center, the museum of the Lost Villages of the St. Lawrence, and the Parkway linking a chain of islands. 35 miles, few hills, mostly bike paths and parkway.
