CANTON -- Author and historian Hallie Bond will be at The TAUNY Center, 53 Main St., on May 17 from 1 to 3 p.m. to talk about and sign copies of her new Adirondack Cookbook.

Developed through collaboration between Bond and Adirondack chef Stephen Topper, the book interweaves modern interpretations of traditional recipes with discussions of regional history and traditions. Copies of the book will be available in the North Country Folkstore for $14.99.

A member of TAUNY’s board of directors, Bond was at the Adirondack Museum in Blue Mountain Lake from 1983 through 2012, first as education director and then as curator.

She is the author of Boats and Boating in the Adirondacks and co-author of A Paradise for Boys and Girls: Children’s Camps in the Adirondacks. Info: www.TAUNY.org.
