TUPPER LAKE -- A variety of Adirondack activities are planned for Lumber Jack and Jill Weekend Feb. 16, 18 and 17.

Starting on Friday, Feb. 16, at 6 p.m., Big Tupper Brewing will host storyteller Bruce Lavoy. Local musician Ben McClelland will entertain inside the pub beginning at 6:30.

On Saturday, the festivities get underway at noon with an opportunity to meet the Paul Smiths Forestry Team.

The street closes at 1 p.m. as Big Tupper Brewing opens an outdoor ice bar while the Paul Smith’s Forestry Team conducts demonstrations of chopping, sawing, axe throwing, carving, and more throughout the entire afternoon. The Tupper Lake Fire Department will hold an outdoor corn hole tournament. There will be cash prizes, give-aways, and more.

At 2 p.m., the band Brady and the Deflators will entertain with North Country style music. Throughout the afternoon will be keg tossing contests, keg races, carvings and chair skits put on by the Paul Smiths Forestry Team, as well as a chili cook off contest hosted by the TL Fire Department.

Chili cook-off results and corn hole winners will be announced at 5 p.m. Musician Frank Murray will entertain at 6 p.m. and an LCR Tournament is scheduled for later in the evening.

The Tupper Lake Firemen will serve a breakfast benefit on Sunday at 8 a.m. Later at 1 p.m. the Red & Black Players will perform a preview of “Guys and Dolls.” A lunch special will begin at noon.
