MASSENA -- The Friends of the Nature Center in Massena host free programs planned for ages five to 12 during the week of Aug. 26 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Nature Center tent.
A new nature topic will be presented each day and will include a short hike bug-spray is encouraged.
Topics include: Aug. 26: “Salad in my Yard,” learn what foods grow locally, Aug. 27: “Nature Notes,” make your own nature journal, Aug. 28: “5 Senses Hike,” hike, play games and explore using the senses, Aug. 29: “Color Explorations,” search for colors in nature, and Aug. 30: “Art From Nature,” use nature to create one-of-a-kind art.
