POTSDAM -- Everyone is invited to "raise the roof" and ring in the holidays at a benefit concert of familiar favorites and seasonal tunes at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at Potsdam United Methodist Church, 26 Main St.
Acapella North Chorus of Sweet Adelines and the Noteworthy Handbell Choir will combine in this fundraiser for the church's roof repair and stained glass window restoration project.
Donation at the door is $5.
Acapella North is a member of Sweet Adelines International, an organization of females who sing a cappella four-part harmony music in barbershop style. During its 36-year history the chorus has performed at venues large and small all across the North Country and at regional competitions.
The 19-year-old Noteworthy Handbell Choir plays at many events, performing sacred and secular music and sharing a love of the bells with the community.
Both groups are volunteering their music-making skills to help Potsdam UMC complete its $120,000 "raise the roof" project.
The church has an elevator for easy access. There is ample parking nearby. For more information call the church office, 265-7474.
